Donald Keith Hemminger's Obituary
Age 84, of Blackman Township, passed away at RidgeCrest Health Campus January 23, 2020. He is survived by three children; Brian Hemminger, Cheryl (David) Gilpin and Mark Hemminger, granddaughter; Erica Ann (Shannon Coleman) Gilpin, sister-in-law; Marie Berg. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Marjorie. in 2009, his brother Phillip Hemminger and parents; Vearl and Albertine (Lutz) Hemminger. He retired from the Gas Meter Department at Consumers Energy, loved to tinker and fix all mechanical things especially pocket watches. He had great skills as a builder and carpenter and general all around handyman. Mr. Hemminger has been cremated. A Memorial Service to honor his life will be held at Arthur-Day Funeral Home Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at 1 pm with Pastor James Haldane, JaxNaz Church officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. He will be laid to rest next to Marjorie in Maple Grove Cemetery, Grass Lake at a later date. Contributions in his memory are directed to the Cascades Humane Society.
