Donald Dean Kelley's Obituary
Donald Dean Kelley, age 88, of Brooklyn passed away peacefully April 6, 2024 at Henry Ford Hospice Home in Jackson, Michigan.
Donald was born on July 24, 1935, in Athens, Michigan to Charles and Cora (Agustus) Kelley. Donald married the love of his life, Merry Perry, on September 1, 1988 in Adrian, Michigan and they had 35 wonderful years together. Donald proudly served four years in the United States Navy. After the Navy he began a career as an Extruder Operator at Ford Motor Company in 1969. He worked there for 38 years before his retirement. Donald liked to play golf and bowl and in his earlier years, enjoyed hunting as well. He also loved spending time at the lake with his grandchilderen. He was a jokester with his friends and family and always very playful and funny. He will be remembered as a loving and kind man who cherished every moment with his family.
Donald will be missed by his wife, Merry; his children, Michael (Bridget) Kelley and Doug (Betty) Kelley; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and special friends Joe Vogel and Fred Wilkins. He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers; Dick, Jay, Francis, Pat and Bobby.
