Donald Ray Sigers' Obituary
Age 79, of Jackson, passed away at his home October 17, 2014 under the loving care of his family and Allegiance Hospice. He was preceded in death by son, Donald J. Sigers; granddaughter, Laura Beauchamp and brothers, Gene ""Sonny"", Dale, Harvey and Howard. Donald is survived by his beloved wife, Charlotte; five children, Paul Sigers of Jackson, David (Diane) Sigers of Oklahoma, Michael Sigers of Texas, Joanne Beauchamp of Jackson and Bob Sigers of Jackson; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; brothers, Tom Sigers and Junior (Beatrice) Sigers; and sisters, Mary (David) Cyphers, Euna Mae McUmber and Carolyn (Tom) Buchanan. He was born in Missouri and moved to Jackson as a child. Donald was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the American Legion Rose City Post #324 and Voiture 40 & 8, former member of the FOE Aerie 3634, Michigan Center. He was retired of Conrail after many years of service as a car repairman. Services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at 11 am with Reverend Richard Brooks officiating. Interment Roseland Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm. Military Honors will be given by the Jackson County American Legion Ritual Team. For those who wish, contributions in Donald's memory may be given to his family for their needs and wishes.
