Donald James Swann's Obituary
Age 92, of Leoni Township, passed away at Arbor Woods Assisted Living August 29, 2018 under the loving care of his family, Arbor Woods Staff and SouthernCare Hospice. He is survived by three children; Robert (Carol) Swann, Susan (Dennis) Bolton and Candice (Phillip) Stapleton, ten grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Julia, brothers, Ward Jr., George, Richard and Jackie, sister, Patsy Wilbur, granddaughter, Angel Barnum and his parents, Ward and Bessie Swann. He served the nation in the US Navy, World War II, retired as a supervisor at Clark Equipment, was an avid golfer, bowler, hunter and fisherman and loved to tinker in his garage, He was a former member of the Michigan Center Bible Church and had for many years attended the Northwest Baptist Church (7600 Lansing Ave., Jackson MI 49201) where services will be held Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at 11 am with Pastor Hal Jankusky officiating. Interment Albion Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Monday evening 6-8 pm. Veterans Honors will be offered by the Jackson County American Legion Ritual Team.
