Donna E. Parker's Obituary
PARKER, DONNA E. Age 90, of Vandercook Lake, passed away Monday, September 15, 2014 at Craft's Care Home in Mason. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, C. Roland Parker in 2005; son-in-law, Roy LaRock; and brothers, Ralph Blanchard and Carl Blanchard Jr. Donna is survived by her loving family, daughters, Patricia (Bob Miller) LaRock-Miller of Jackson and Jodyne Grover of Adrian; grandchildren, Casey (Kyleen) Calkins of Chesapeake, VA, and Corinna (Patrick) Conley of Napoleon; step-grandchildren, Amber Cornell of Charlotte, CariAnn (Kevin) Bushinski and Troy (Carla) Miller, both of Jackson; great-grandchildren, Andromeda and Gareth Calkins, Cooper, Griffin and Holden Conley, Abbie Bushinski, Savannah Prestler and Logan Miller; nieces and nephews. Donna was a retiree of Ryerson-Haynes and enjoyed sewing and reading. She was a former long-time member of American Legion Rose City Post #324 Ladies Auxiliary. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Celebration will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church (corner of Brown St. and W. Michigan Ave.) on Monday, September 22, 2014 at 1:30 pm with Pastor David Eidson officiating. The family will greet friends at the church from Noon until service time. For those who wish, contributions may be given in Donna's memory to Immanuel Lutheran Church. Donna's family would like to give special thanks for the wonderful care given to her by the staff at Craft's Care Home and Grace Hospice as well as others who cared so tenderly for her along her journey through life.
