Donna J. Root's Obituary
Age 76, of Jackson, passed away along with her sister, Joanne Wyman (Kramarczyk) on Thursday, December 7, 2017 due to a car accident in Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles "Fred" and Vivian (Aiken) Pittman and siblings, Dorothy Pittman, Betty Robinson and Larry Pittman. Donna is survived by her beloved children, Cassaundra Howard of Jackson, Katrinka (Tony) Martinez of Battle Creek and Karena (Bill) Mills of Brooklyn; six greatly beloved grandchildren, AJ (Shelby) Howard, Kelsea (Daniel) Mariney, Nicholas (Heather) Schneider, Brittney (Chris Bradford) Schneider, Amanda Jors and Levi Mills; nine great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, George Robinson; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Donna retired from the Comerica Bank Trust Department. She was a volunteer with the Jackson County 4-H Program with over 25 years of service and was on the Board with the Hot Air Jubilee for many years. She enjoyed camping, gardening, sewing, going to auctions, participating in the Gospel Barn in Hillsdale and working on many service and mission projects at her church. Her grandchildren were the center of her world. Donna was an active member of Heart O' The Lakes Church, 7031 Jefferson Road, Brooklyn, MI 49230, where a joint Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, December 15, 2017 at 11:00 am with Pastor Cyle Young officiating. Cremation with interment at Oak Grove Cemetery in Napoleon will follow the services. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday evening from 5 to 8 pm.
