Doreen F. Hudy's Obituary
Her Legacy... Doreen Frances Hudy, 80, passed away December 11, 2019. She was born on July 20, 1939, in Detroit, Michigan to Lemuel and Caroline (Sloney) Svajian. Doreen married the love of her life, Joseph Hudy, on November 28, 1959 in Detroit, Michigan. She will be remembered as a very giving person and to her family the epitome of grace throughout her battle with cancer. Doreen loved anything to do with children, being a teacher's assistant over 30 years, coaching girls' basketball, baseball and cheerleading. She was President of the Altar Society, a Eucharistic Minister, sang in the choir and heavily involved in many other church events. Doreen was very strong in her faith and found comfort surrounding herself with angels. She loved to play bingo, travel to casinos, and go garage-saleing. Doreen dearly loved her companion for the past few years, her cat "Lincoln". She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.

Raymond, Mark (Elaine) Hudy, Martin "Marty" Hudy and Valerie (Charles) Petersen; grandchildren Ryan, Douglas, Ashley (Michael), Andrew, Alexis, Brett, Emily, Stefani and Matthew; three great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, William (Christine) Hudy and Robert (Joyce) Hudy. She is preceded in death by her parents and beloved husband, Joe.
Her Farewell... Doreen's family and friends will gather Monday, December 16, 2019, from 2:00 pm - 8: 00 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm at Borek Jennings Funeral Home: Braun Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at 11:00 am. with a Gathering to begin at 10:00 am prior to Mass at St. Joseph Shrine Catholic Church. Fr. Alphonse Satheesh, SdC will serve as celebrant. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude's Children's Cancer Research or Memorial contributions may be given to family for future designation.
