Dorene Dorothy Vincent's Obituary
Dorene Dorothy Vincent, 96, from Jackson, MI, passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Henry Ford Hospice in Jackson, MI. Dorene’s family and friends will gather from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at Eineder Funeral Homes – Michigan Center Chapel. Her funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Graveside committal service to immediately follow services at Roseland Memorial Gardens. Pastor Jeff Sheeks to officiate.
She was born on March 21, 1928, in Jackson, MI, to Lawrence and Lilah (Bunce) Donnelly. Dorene married the love of her life, John Lawrence Vincent Jr., on January 11, 1947, but sadly lost him after 51 wonderful years together. Dorene will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She graduated from Jackson High School. Dorene was a waitress for the Moose Lodge, where she also was a lifetime member. She was also a member of the American Legion Post 29 Auxiliary. Dorene enjoyed dancing, reading and being a seamstress. She loved traveling to see her family and friends across the country. Dorene and her husband bought a tiny house, which they spent many years expanding and making their own. One of her favorite parts they added, was the back porch that John built for her. Dorene loved spending time on the porch, eating, reading and just enjoying the outdoors.
Dorene will be missed by her children, Gary Vincent, Randy Vincent and Connie (Jerry) Tingley; her brother, Darrell (Ann) Donnelly; her grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents and her brother, Gaylord Donnelly.
