I remember Doris as a loving mother and grandmother. I especially remember her at the yearly Labor Day garage sale at the Ferris farmhouse. We would discuss our experiences as teachers. So sorry to Julie, Jay, Jayson, Justine and their families for the loss of their loved one.
I had the honor of working with Doris at Brooklyn Elementary School. She was a great mentor and friend. She will be missed by all that knew her. My thoughts and prayers are sent to her family as they deal with their loss.
