Doris D. Lake's Obituary
Age 75, of Michigan Center, passed away March 21, 2015 at Burcham Hills Retirement Home. She is survived by three children; Jeffrey Lake, Lisa (Ross) Birchman and Suzi (Jeff) Saleh, five grandchildren, Ryan Lake, Mackie Lake, Kyle Schittenhelm, Chad and Justin Saleh, great-grandson, Dreyden Saleh, brother-in-law, Bob Taylor, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Max P. Lake in 2010, siblings, Jeanie Taylor, William, Henry and Ted Thomas, Clara Mottes, Bernice Hafley and her parents William and Clara (maiden -Amrhine) Thomas. Doris was head cook at Michigan Center High School for many years and enjoyed flowers, birds, loved to crochet and visit casinos. Cremation has taken place. Memorial Services will be held at the funeral home on her 76th birthday, Friday, March 27, 2015 at 11 am. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Contributions in her memory are directed to Burcham Hills, 2700 Burcham Drive, East Lansing, MI 48823.
