Doris Elaine Ross' Obituary
Doris Elaine Ross, 93, from Jackson passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2024. Doris’s family will hold a private service at Eineder Funeral Homes with an interment to follow at Roseland Memorial Gardens, Jackson.
She was born on December 19, 1930, in Napoleon, Michigan to Otto and Laura (Schwader) Titler. Doris married the love of her life, the late Robert Ross, on September 8, 1949 in Napoleon, Michigan. They had 53 wonderful years together. She will be remembered for her infectious smile and heart of gold. Doris is a Napoleon High School graduate. She was an avid reader that kept to herself. Doris enjoyed watching the birds and tending to her flowers. Robert and Doris enjoyed many years of camping as a family and spent vacations traveling. Doris was famously known in the family for her “meatball hamburgers”. She suffered many years with Alzheimer’s and has chosen the Alzheimer’s Association, Michigan Chapter as her memorial contribution source.
Doris is survived by her children, Karin Wheaton, Donna (William) Cole, Michael (Kim) Ross; two grandchildren Thomas Cole and Michelle Winn; one great grandson, Kyle Winn; many nieces and nephews; a special sister-in-law, June (Roy) Pollard, and brother-in-law, Alfred Weesner. She is preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Brock Heath; four brothers and one sister.
