Dorothy Stella Hoffman's Obituary
Age 93, of Leoni Township, passed away Friday, April 3, 2020 at the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home. She is survived by three children; Jean (Todd) Matthews, Robert (Marilyn) Hoffman and Mary Kurzynowski, grandchildren; Miranda, Joe, Christina, Eric, David, Marty, Sandy and Heather, many great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild and many 'honorary' grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; Herman in 2000, son John and his wife Janet, infant daughter Barbara Ann, eight siblings; Helen Canterbury, Mary Dorer, Charlotte Mortensen, Agnes Server, Jane Gaikowski, Verna Decker, Walt Brown and Frank Broniszewski, her parents; Walter and Stella (maiden-Walniewski) Broniszewski and her son-in-law; Stan Kurzynowski. She was a long time member of St. Stanislaus Kostka in Jackson and more recently belonged to Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Michigan Center. A Public Memorial Luncheon to honor her life will be held Saturday, July 18, 2020 at the Gene Davis & Sons Banquet Facility (3575 Francis St., Jackson, MI) from 1 pm until 4:30 pm. A video of Dorothy's funeral Mass will be shown from 1 pm to 2 pm. Those not wishing to view the video are invited to attend between 2 pm and 4:30 pm for a luncheon served by the facility, completely COVID 19 compliant. The luncheon will be "come and go graduation style".
