I have the fondest memories of this amazing lady. Being my best friend, Robyn’s mom I considered her my second mom. I told her this every time we got together and she would beam. We made a lunch date to celebrate Dorthy’s birthday every year when she came to Colorado to stay with her kids. It was always such a special time of visiting, laughing and sharing the love we have for each other. There was something about her that reminded me of my own dear mom. I miss her and the times I was privileged to spend with her. Praying for God’s peace and comfort for her family.

"It’s hard to imagine a winter without Dorothy in 'her' chair or her presence in our kitchen. For more than two decades, she chose to spend her winters tucked away with us, weaving herself into the fabric of our daily lives.
She saw our kids grow, shared a thousand morning coffees, and made our house a true home for four months out of every year. Twenty years wasn’t nearly enough, but we are the lucky ones who got to have her for so long. We will miss you every time the snow starts to fall."
