Douglas Michael Showerman's Obituary
Age 73, of Michigan Center, passed away peacefully at his home Sunday, January 21, 2018. He is survived by three children, Darin (Janice) Showerman, Kevin (Traci Tobey) Showerman and Dana (Paul) Blake, two grandchildren, Caryn and Kennedi Showerman, brother Dean Showerman, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis and parents, Duayne "Milky" and Helen (Lipko) Showerman. Doug retired from Kelsey-Hayes, and worked fifteen years at Lakeland Golf Course. He was a devoted patron of the Michigan Center Three Horse Club (4793 Page Avenue) where a Celebration of his Life and open house will be held Saturday, February 10, 2018 from 2-5 pm, with sharing of memories at 3:30 pm. Contributions in his memory are directed to the Jackson County Animal Shelter (3370 Spring Arbor Road, Jackson, MI 49203). His cremated remains will be laid to rest with his parents and brother at St. Johns Cemetery, Jackson, Michigan.
