Duane Leon Easter's Obituary
Duane Leon Easter, 93,of Jackson, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Legacy Assisted Living Center, Jackson. A private family gathering will take place at Eineder Funeral Homes – Michigan Center Chapel.
He was born on March 6, 1930, in Jackson, Michigan to Harry and Gertrude (Jordan) Easter. Duane proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and American Legion. Duane loved to dance, especially square dancing, belonging to the local square-dancing club that traveled for competitions. He attended his children’s sporting events when possible and took the family to Ludington for their annual vacation. Duane enjoyed life, gardening, fishing, traveling and the Detroit Tigers. He also loved a challenge. Digging his basement with a shovel is just one example. Duane will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Duane is survived by his companion of 33 years, Marilyn Kinser; his children, Denise (David) Vagi, Dan Easter, Deno (Rita) Easter, Doreen Baker, Dawn (Greg) Bliss and DeEtte Snyder and extended family of Cheryl and Larry Kinser; grandchildren Melissa, Brian, Michael, Sara, Nicholas, Elizabeth, Garrett, Gavin, Alisha, Raquel, Leah, John, Ryan, Brandon, Ashley, Shelby, Logan and Austin; and many great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Gertrude; a brother, Don Easter; a sister, Shirley Rose; a son, Doug Easter and a grandson, Lucas Bliss.
