Earl Lloyd Hill Sr's Obituary
Hill, Earl Lloyd, Sr. Age 93, of Leoni Township, passed away at his home May 7, 2014 under the loving care of his family and the greatly appreciated assistance of Great Lakes Hospice. He is survived by seven children, Earl (Debbie) Hill Jr., Ida (Joseph) Adams, Carol (Ron) Yeloushan, Anna (Dennis) McCarron, Sharon (Art) Thompson, Judy (Don) Trefry and Wayne (Jane) Hill; 15 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren; three brothers, Donald (Laura) Hill, Robert Hill and David (Carol) Hill and one sister, Nancy (Joe) Mowery. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ida R. (maiden Sanford) Hill in 1991; his parents, William and Margaret (maiden Thrasher) Hill; one brother and four sisters. Mr. Hill retired from Main and Company after 35 years service, served the nation in the US Army, ETO in World War II as an ambulance driver with the 471st Ambulance Company, was a member of the American Legion Rose City Post and the 40 & 8 Leoni Voiture and enjoyed bowling. Services will be held at the funeral home Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 11 am. Interment Leoni Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday, 2-4 & 6-8 pm. Graveside Military Honors will be provided by the Jackson County American Legion Ritual Team. Contributions in his memory are directed to Great Lakes Hospice.
