Our friendship with Bud and Shirley Spat spands about 48 years. We first met them at a horse show at the Kentucky Horse Park. Bud was driving a pair of black and white pinto horses hitched to a pretty red show wagon. We competed with him that day with our sorrel horses and our green and white hay wagon. That was the the beginning of many years of competition and friendship.Bud drove his team's in many shows and win or lose he always left the ring with a hardy "Hip--ee" and RAN his team out of the ring!. What a ride!About three years ago, Bud offered to sell us his red show wagon. We brougt it home and drive it each summer in our local Ohio shows. It brings back fond memories of our good friends Bud and Shirley Soat.
