Edgar L. Warolin's Obituary
WAROLIN, EDGAR L. Age 93, of Napoleon Township, passed away Friday, December 27, 2013 at Vista Grande Villa's Trellis Garden. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty in 2009; brother, Leonard Warolin and sister, Helen Brandt. Ed is survived by his daughter, Nancy Thacher of Napoleon Township; three sons, Larry Warolin of Jackson, Jim (Sandy) Warolin and Vince (Carrie) Warolin, all of Wolf Lake; seven grandchildren, Andrew and Nick Thacher, Justin (Mariel) Kelley, Shannen Powell, James, Ella and Holly Warolin; three great-granddaughters, Kaydence Thacher, Paige and Alison Powell; two siblings, Elmer (Phyllis) Warolin and Alice Lundgren, both of Minnesota; special friends, Deanna Aitken, Mike Kirk and Joe Mueller. He was a Naval Veteran of World War II. Ed was a 65 year member of the IBEW where he worked as a Master Electrician; he had also been Electrical Inspector for Napoleon, Columbia and Norvell Townships. He was a Lifetime Member of the Jackson Area Antique Tractor Club; Life Member and Past Master of Brooklyn Masonic Lodge #169. Ed enjoyed farming and time with his family. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service to celebrate his life will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at 11:00 am. Visitation will take place on Monday from 6 to 8 pm (with a Masonic Memorial at 7:30 pm) and on Tuesday from 10 am until service time. For those who wish, contributions in Ed's memory may be given to Brooklyn Masonic Lodge or the Salvation Army.
