Edna May Harrold's Obituary
Edna May Harrold, 79, of Salem, Indiana, passed away on June 7, 2025 surrounded by her family in Jonesville, Michigan. Her family will gather for a private gathering and funeral service at Eineder Funeral Homes - Brooklyn Chapel. Interment to take place at Woodstock Cemetery in Woodstock Township, Michigan. Pastor Drew Woods officiating.
She was born on July 3, 1945, in Jackson, Michigan to Gerald James and Audrey Madgelena (Dermyer) Russell. Edna graduated from Cement City High School in 1963. She lived in Brooklyn, Michigan for many years before moving to Salem, Indiana in the summer of 1987. Edna enjoyed gardening and reading but most of all she loved going on walks around the neighborhood with her four-legged companion, Sassy. She was always willing to help her neighbors and friends in any way that she could. Edna belonged to Washington County Baptist Tabernacle Church for many years. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Edna will be missed by her spouse, George Ray Harrold; her children, Tina (Kevin) Shafer, Danny Williams (Candy), Rachelle Schmaelzle, Lori Harrold, Dan Harrold, and Kevin Wheaton; brother, Donald (Jill) Russell; grandchildren, Kenneth (Chelsee), Kipp (Beth), Larissa (Dwight), Britny, Anthony (Kristin) Danny Jr., Thomas, Dillon, Nathan, Derick, and Logan; sixteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; nieces and nephew, Dorinda, Toni, and CJ. She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, two sisters, and two step children.
