Edna Howard's Obituary
HOWARD, EDNA Age 90, of Jackson, passed away Monday, January 20, 2014 at the Allegiance Hospice Home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Howard; brother, Dewey Cook and sisters, Nella Hill, Bernice Roberts and June Parrott. Edna is survived by her two daughters, Kathy (Jeff) Kiser of Gatlinburg, TN and Mary Howard of Jackson; two grandchildren, Brandon and Heather Kiser; four great-grandchildren, Christian, Brodie, Cameron and Malia; four sisters, Kate Blalock, Faye Cook, Veryl Monhollen and Shelby (Ralph) Valentine; sister-in-law, Ina Raye Howard; many nieces and nephews. Edna was a caregiver; she owned and operated Howard's Adult Foster Care for many years. After her first retirement, she worked in the Ackerson Lake Daycare in the toddler room, where she was grandma to everyone. She loved her babies, her garden and her birds. Edna was a long-time member of Faith Baptist Chapel, where a Service to Celebrate her life will be held on Friday, January 24, 2014 at 11:00 am with Pastor Jim Wiech officiating. Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Thursday from 6 to 8 pm. Interment will take place in Pigeon Forge, TN at Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens.
