Edward Albert Buckels' Obituary
Edward A. Buckels
October 30, 1968 – January 12, 2025
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Edward A. Buckels, a beloved father, brother, and friend, who left us peacefully on Sunday, January 12, 2025, surrounded by his family and friends.
Ed was known for his vibrant sense of humor, always able to make those around him laugh. With a larger-than-life personality and a smile that could light up any room, Ed made a lasting impression on everyone he met. He found joy in fishing, spending time outdoors, and cherishing precious moments with his loved ones. His presence was a gift, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Buckels; his father, Edward T. Buckels; and his brother-in-law, Randy Martin. Ed is survived by his two daughters, Baylee (Kenny Kennedy) Buckels and Madison (Tyler Camp) Buckels; his siblings, Teresa (Jerry) Stassines, Janet Martin, Patricia (Phil) Sonnenberg, and Shon Buckels; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and long-time family friends, including the Gietek family.
Ed’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
A Celebration of Life dinner will be held in his honor on Monday, January 27th, from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Jackson County Outdoor Club, 3550 Hart Road, Jackson, MI 49201. Dinner will be provided for those who wish to attend. Donations can be made to GoFundMe to help honor Ed’s final wishes and support his two daughters during this difficult time.
