Edward Andrew Buksar, Sr.'s Obituary
Age 87, of Michigan Center, passed away Monday October 4, 2021 at Henry Ford Allegiance Health surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife of 69 years; Barbara Jean (Sprangel) Buksar, seven children; Peggy (Edwin) Boso, Jeannie (Bill) Williams, Eddie (Karon) Buksar, Roger Buksar, Marcia Losert, Gloria (Danny) Keith and Sherri (Doug) Martin, 19 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, 2 brothers; John Buksar and Robert Buksar, Goddaughter; Kelly Flees and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; Andrew and Anna (Porubensky) Buksar, sister; Joan Selland, 2 brothers; Andy and Ronald Buksar, his beloved dog; Dusty and his beloved cat; Fancy. Eddie retired from GSL Technology and was very fond of the owners; Cindy and Greg Latka. He loved his bird feeders made by his son Eddie Jr to feed all the animals in his yard. He was an avid gardener and his flowers and yard works were always the envy of the neighborhood. For many years he belonged to St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Jackson where he served as an usher and was a Life member of the Knights of Columbus Council 9131, where he earned his 4th degree and was a longtime Warden. He served as an usher and was currently a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church where a Mass to honor his life will be held Monday, October 11, 2021 at 11 am with Father Satheesh Alphonse SdC officiating. Graveside interment will follow at Roseland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Arthur-Day Funeral Home, Sunday, October 10th from 2-4 and 6-8 pm with a Recitation of the Rosary at 7:30 and visitation also at the church on Monday from 10 am until service time. The family wishes to thank the Henry Ford Allegiance CCU staff for their kindness and care given to Eddie. Contributions in his memory are directed to Our Lady of Fatima Parish.
