Edward Francis Ostrovich's Obituary
Edward Francis Ostrovich, 93, of Jackson, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 15, 2025. Edward’s family and friends will gather on Saturday, May 24, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Shrine Catholic Church, Brooklyn, MI. His funeral Mass will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church.
Edward was born on November 26, 1931, in Shamokin, Pennsylvania, to Edward and Beatrice (Klemasheski) Ostrovich. He married the love of his life, Rose Marie Chesney, on April 27, 1957, in Jackson, Michigan. Edward served in the Korean War and then worked for many years as an electrician. He was a dedicated Red Cross blood donor and volunteered for over 30 years with the Jackson Recreation Department Senior Citizens Program. He had a strong faith in God and will be remembered as a loving spouse, dad, grandpa, great-grandpa, and friend.
Edward will be missed by his children, Ed (Diana) Ostrovich of Texas, Rose (Bryan) Noble of Brooklyn, Steven (Nezy) Ostrovich of Canton, and their families. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and his sister, Florence Katch of Pennsylvania.
