Edwin Earl Perkins' Obituary
Age 83, of Napoleon Township, passed away February 12, 2018 at the Jackson County Medical Care Facility surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Sandra Lee (Ellis) Perkins, two daughters, Shelley (Harold) Jones and Tracey (Marty) Caler, step-son, Kevin (Miranda) Lindsey, son-in-law, Mark Brown, ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and his first wife and mother of his children, Nan Perkins-Ehinger. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kim Brown, 2 brothers, one sister and his parents, Leonard and Ollie Mae (Rossman) Perkins. Ed served the Nation in the US Coast Guard during the Korean War, retired as a supervisor at Die Cast Corporation, belonged to the Michigan Center 3 Horse Club, The American Legion Richard F. Smith Post #29 and was a former member of Coolidge Lodge #532, Free and Accepted Masons. He enjoyed travelling, fishing and visiting casinos. Mr. Perkins has been cremated. A Memorial Service to honor his life will be held at St. Aidan's Church (361 East Grove, Michigan Center) on Saturday, February 24 at 11 am with Chaplain Greg Grotbeck, Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice officiating. The family will receive friends from ten am until service time. Military Honors will be offered by the Jackson County American Legion Ritual Team.
