Eileen Zavacky's Obituary
Eileen Zavacky, 88, from Taylor, MI, unexpectedly passed away on Friday, January 31, 2025. A private Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Mary’s Church in Manchester, MI. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Manchester, MI. Rev. Fr. Gerald Gawronski will serve as celebrant.
She was born on January 21, 1937, in Pittsburgh, PA, to Everett and Helen (Walsh) Brake. For a time, Eileen worked for United Technologies, but her most important job was being a mother. She was a dedicated mother to her 4 children. Eileen loved celebrating birthdays and holidays with her family; any time together was her favorite past time. She enjoyed oil painting, gardening and bird watching. Eileen had a bird bath where numerous birds would come and she loved watching them. She especially loved peacocks. Eileen was a devout Catholic.
Eileen will be missed by her children, Judy Kurtzhals, Eddie Zavacky, Cyndi (Marvin Jr.) Ford and Ken Zavacky; 1 grandchild and 2 step grandchildren; her niece, Lynne McAllister; her sister-in-law, Sandy Brake. She is preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Everett and Denny; and her sister, Neil.
