Elaine Kay Cole's Obituary
Cole, Elaine Kay, (maiden-Berry) Age 73, of Leoni Township, went to be with Jesus August 20, 2014 at Bethany Home under the loving care of her family, the Bethany staff and Allegiance Hospice. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Daniel L.; children, Tamara (Mark) Brown, Terralyn (Ron) Brown, Ted (LeWanda) Cole, Tim Cole, Tracy (Kip) France and Trina (Wayne) Morrissey; grandchildren, Jessica, Jenny, Julie, Ben, Matt, Greg, Cheyanne, Shiloh, Jay, Theresa, Katie, Marek, Audrea and Erica; 17 great-grandchildren; brother, Joe (Linda) Berry; two sisters, Linda (Vern) Allen and Nancy (Howard) Van De Water; sister-in-law, Pat Horsfall; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Doris Miller; father, Joe Berry; sister, Myrnie Berry; grandchild, Jamie Brown; great-grandchild, Angel Brown and daughter-in-law, Chris Cole. Kay worked in the Legal System for many years as a legal secretary and court recorder, for the last seven years she was the caregiver for her dear friend, Ruth Hadden. She loved family events, movies, travel, lake life, books, golf and bowling and her beloved dog, Daisy. Services will be held at the Brookside United Methodist Church Monday, August 25, 2014 at 1:30 pm with Pastor Ron Brooks officiating. Interment Roseland Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sunday 1 to 4:30 pm. Her family would appreciate any contributions in her memory to be directed to the American Cancer Society or Bethany and wishes to convey their sincerest gratitude to Bethany for their compassion and loving care.
