Elaine Porlier Woodworth
Beloved Mother and Nanny, passed away at age 91 on February 1, 2022 with her family by her side.
She was an executive secretary at Vibradamp Corporation before transitioning to Mechanical Products where she retired after 25 years of service.
Elaine was a charter member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, a member of the Women's Club of Jackson, also a long time member of the alumnae club of Michigan Center School where she was a 4-year cheerleader.
She was preceded in death by her loving devoted husband, Robert D. Woodworth; parents, Keith and Donna Porlier; brother, Keith (Marilyn) Porlier Jr.; sister, Catherine (Ronnie) Phillips and former husband, Willard B. Ruede.
Elaine is survived by her children, Dennis (Sharon) Ruede and Dawn (Charles) Brannick; grandchildren, Heather Ruede Hartley, Dane Ruede (Fiancé Shelly Donaldson), Dr. Blake Brannick (Dr. Amanda), Elizabeth (Charlie) Gantt and Colton Brannick (Aubrey Hill); great-granddaughters, Erica Smigielski (Fiancé Zachary Chichester), Ashton Hartley, Hailey Brannick and Olivia Elaine Gantt.
Elaine loved her flower gardens and baking cookies for her family. She had a flair for fashion and interior design. She was known for her beautifully styled hair and makeup and always dressed with glamour and class. Her greatest passion in life was being a Mother and Nanny. She exemplified unconditional devotion to her family and made everyone around her feel her love.
A special thank you to Miranda Noell who helped Elaine live out her last years independently at home.
Services will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Michigan Center on Saturday, February 5, 2022 with Father Satheesh Alphonse, SdC officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00am with a Mass of Christian Burial Service at 11:00 am. Private interment will take place at Roseland Memorial Gardens.
Contributions would be appreciated in her memory to Our Lady of Fatima Church or the Cascades Humane Society.
