Ellie will be missed by her friends at the Slovene American Club functions. She was always smiling and fun to talk too. Our condolences to Fred and the family.
Elenore was a very special part of all of our lives. Mom (Mildred) and Elenore met, I believe, while working at Michigan Bell and became very close life-long friends. Mom and Elenore would go to dances together, walking to and from Belle Isle and had so much fun together. Elenore introduced my parents to each other and, of course, was part of their wedding party. Later, once Fred and Elenore became a couple, the four of them spent a lot of time together enjoying each other's company. Elenore remained a loyal friend to my Mom until the end and would call her to check up on her even when my Mom's dementia was so advanced that some days she wouldn't even remember her. With Christmas approaching, lately I've been thinking about how much fun Mom and Elenore would have spending an entire day together baking Christmas cookies to share. Elenore, you were one in a million and will be missed! Fred and family, our heartfelt sympathy goes out to you.
