Elizabeth Bell Beuerle's Obituary
Elizabeth “Liz” Bell (Torrey) Beuerle, 92 passed away August 24, 2024, at Cambrian Assisted Living in Tecumseh, Michigan. Liz’s family and friends will gather from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., on Thursday, September 5, 2024, with Rosary at 7:30 p.m., at Eineder Funeral Homes - Manchester Chapel and from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m, on Friday, September 6, 2024, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Manchester, MI. Her mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, September 06, 2024, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Fr. Bosco will serve as celebrant. Burial will follow services at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
She was born on August 4th, 1932, to Charles and Ila (Van Wormer) Torrey. Liz graduated from Bronson High School in 1950 and started Nursing School at W.A Foote Hospital where she graduated in 1953. She married Duane Beuerle on May 9th, 1959, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Manchester, MI. She worked as a surgical nurse at St. Joseph Mercy hospital of Ann Arbor, leaving in 1966. She later worked at Luther C. Klager Elementary school as the librarian, retiring in 1997, where the library was dedicated to her; the Elizabeth Beuerle Media Center.
Liz was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved to read, garden and have coffee with her friends. Liz and Duane spent many of their weekends with her sister Esther and favorite brother-in-law, Mike, at dance halls where they loved to polka.
Liz will be greatly missed by her children Mark (Sherry) Beuerle, Gary Beuerle and Eric (Stephanie) Beuerle, Grandkids Chad (Natalie) Beuerle, Zack (Cole) Alexander, Kurt (Hillary) Beuerle, John (Avery) Beuerle, 6 great grandchildren, her Sister Esther (Mike) Franks, many nieces and nephews and special caregivers, Susan Alexander, Ashley Alexander and Barbara Maisano. She is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Ila Torrey, husband Duane Beuerle, and 2 brothers, Jay and Ralph Torrey.
