Elizabeth Grace Brewer's Obituary
Elizabeth Grace Brewer
Willis, Texas formerly of Jackson, Michigan
Elizabeth Grace Brewer, age 89, passed away Sunday, September 17, 2023, at her home. Elizabeth’s family and friends will gather from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at Eineder Funeral Homes – Michigan Center Chapel (Formerly Arthur-Day Funeral Home). Her funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. Burial to take place at Hillcrest Cemetery, immediately following the service. Pastor Jeff Sheeks will officiate the service.
She was born on October 30, 1933, in Jackson, Michigan to Sidney and Audria (Grow) Zimmer. Elizabeth married the love of her life, Jack Brewer, on March 13, 1954, in Jackson, Michigan. She will be remembered as small in stature but feisty and sassy and someone you would not want to tangle with. All her children would know when they were in big trouble with her because she would not only say their full given name but include that middle name. Then they knew she meant business! Elizabeth did not back off from any situation and was even known to brazenly write down a license plate number from a car full of boys that she caught stealing from her workplace, told them to return the items or she would turn them in to the police! Needless to say, they returned the stolen items! She was a force to reckon with. Elizabeth adored all her grandchildren, which included many great and great-great grandchildren. They were her entire world the past few years.
Elizabeth will be missed by her children, Patricia (Randall) Brinkle of Willis, Texas, Nancy (James) Rice of Jackson, Michigan, Lewis (Judy) Brewer and Steve (Kari) Brewer of Oscoda, Michigan; 14 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack, her parents and her 2 daughters, Jackie and Christine Brewer.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (2265 Livernois Rd. Ste. #410, Troy, MI 48083). Please leave a message of comfort for Elizabeth’s family or sign her guestbook at www.EinederFuneralHomes.com.
