Betty married the love of her life, the late David Wood, on February 7, 1959 in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. She was called “Nana” by her family and will be remembered for her love of feeding people and preparing a beautiful table. She was known as the “Hospitality Queen” to many. Betty received a perfect attendance award, of ten years, from her place of employment in North Carolina, the Northern Telecom Company. The employees referred to her as “Mama Betty”. While in the Carolina’s, Betty found a talent for cake decorating. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She cherished her family above all. Betty was a very determined woman, and a giving, faithful person. She attended mass regularly at St. Rita Catholic Church. Betty enjoyed her flower garden and her gnomes. She had a vast collection of Denim Days figurines and collected many other items as well. Her penmanship was very elegant, and she enjoyed writing notes to family and friends. She will be missed my all who knew and loved her.
