Elsie Reynolds' Obituary
Reynolds, Elsie Age 95, of Jackson, passed away at her home March 26, 2013 under the loving care of her family and Allegiance Hospice. She is survived by three children, Virginia (Philip) Widmayer, Sheila Childs and Robert (Marcia) Miller; six grandchildren, Daniel (Cindy) Richardson, Tracy (Tim) Mattice, Leanne Childs, Charles Elliott, Theresa Blevins and Kerra Rowley; sister, Edna Mae Sanders; special friends, Ethel Lentz and Tammy Samons; several great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Elsie was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Reynolds; son, Denzil Brown; granddaughters, Virginia Elaine and Angela Miller; parents, James and Rachael Smith and several brothers and sisters. She was born in Hazard, Kentucky on December 25, 1917; was a devoted mother, grandmother, great and great-great grandmother. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #612 and their REAC club. She was an avid Bingo player and had worked at Cedar Knoll Rest Home and H & M Grill (145 Truck Stop). Mrs. Reynolds has been cremated. A Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held Saturday April 13, 2013 at the Jackson Eagles #612, 301 Detroit Street at 1 pm with a luncheon to follow. Contributions in her memory are directed to the Alzheimers Disease Foundation. The family would like to extend their special thanks to Allegiance Hospice nurse Rebecca, Allegiance Hospice, Dr. Fields and Dr. Simpkins from the Allegiance Senior Health Care Center.
