Emil Daniel Kowalski's Obituary
Emil D. Kowalski of Brooklyn, MI (Toledo Ohio) passed away at home, December 24, 2023. He was born on January 16, 1928, to Frank and Clara (Bonk) Kowalski. Emil served in the Marines earning an Honorable Discharge Rank of Seargent during the Korean War. He retired from the Toledo Edison Company as an Accountant at age 59. Emil loved traveling, was an avid golfer and bowler and fisherman. He loved perch fishing on Lake Erie and White Bass runs on the Portage River. Emil was an Honorary member of the Knights of Columbus and American Legion and enjoyed the functions of both. He is best well known for being an Honorable Man with High standing Morals and his ability to fix all things in the world of DIY and Love for All Animals and pets.
Emil is survived by his son, David A. Kowalski (Shelly Stoneburner); grandchildren, Alex (Angela) and Anthony Kowalski, Jeff Brown (Sarah English), Julie Escobar (Rick), and Jennifer Brown; great grandchildren, Valerie, Oliva and Liberty and Jack. He is preceded in death by son, Daniel Anthony Kowalski, daughter Deborah Brown (Kowalski) 2015 and wife Dolores Kowalski (Lamarand) in 2018.
Family and friends may visit from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday, January 5 at Eineder Funeral Homes, 137 S. Main St., Brooklyn, MI 49230, 517-592-2280. The Funeral Mass for Emil will be held at 11:00 am with gathering to begin at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 6 at St. Joseph Shrine, 8743 US 12, Brooklyn, MI 49230. A Private Burial with Military Honors to follow. A memorial celebration will be held at a later date to be scheduled in the summer. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cascades Humane Society in Emils Name.
