Emily May Day's Obituary
Emily Day, 78, of Jackson, passed away June 15, 2024. Emily’s family and friends will gather Thursday, June 20, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Eineder Funeral Homes - Brooklyn Chapel. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
Emily was born on August 12, 1945, in Wyandotte, Michigan to Lewis and Elsie (Adler) Brow. Emily was a joyful woman who loved being around others, especially her grandchildren. She graduated from Manchester High School. Emily worked many years as a nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital before transferring to Jackson Foote Hospital where she worked until retirement. She loved cooking, fishing and camping in her Airstream. One of her favorite spots was Swains Lake in Concord, MI.
Emily will be missed by her husband, Tom; her children, Angela (Dawn) Smarch; Tamara (Paul) Douglas; Michael Scherer, Thomas (Ellen) Scherer; siblings, Peggy (Dennis) Knight, Jack Brow, Bill (Penny) Brow, Lewis (Donna) Brow; thirteen grandchildren; and one great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Loraine Welch, Shirley Brow, Suzie Wiggins and Jimmy Brow.
