Eric is my brother. He is child number 3, and I’m the youngest number 6. I remember him playing basketball and track in school. I was the baby brother so we didn’t have too many years in the same house when he joined the Army after high school. But I would stay with him sometimes on weekends when he got out of the Army. I babysat Nicole and Tiffany frequently when they were just little ones. Eric had the Hildebrand stubbornness, although he was probably one of the most sensitive ones deep down. He was always proud of the fact that he has visited me in every place I’ve lived. (Which is a lot of places.) The benefit to being a long haul truck driver. He would text me if he knew he was going through my area. I’d pick him up and get him out of a truck stop for awhile. I got to know Eric more as an adult, than I did as a child. He will be missed. I’m 100% sure, that Dale greeted him on the other side.
Even though we only saw each other at family gatherings, it was always nice seeing you. To chat with you about the grandbabies and whatever the subject was at that moment. You are a wonderful dad and Grandpa. Anyone could see they all was your life. I know you're up there spreading your wings, flying high and watching over all your family and friends. You will be missed! R.I.H. Eric
