Eric Thomas Smith's Obituary
Eric Thomas Smith, 66, of Jackson passed away peacefully at home with his loving family at his side, Wednesday, December 21, 2022.
He was born on January 10, 1956, in Jackson, Michigan to Joseph and Alice (VanEpps) Smith. Eric married the love of his life, Judy Whiting, on June 21, 1993 in Jackson, Michigan. He will be remembered as a hard worker. Eric retired after 18 years from Tribal Manufacturing, formerly Marshall Brass. He enjoyed fishing and watching old westerns, especially John Wayne movies, but above all he cherished his time with his family. Eric will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Eric is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Judy; his stepchildren, Lori Ashworth, Timothy (Sandi) Newman; Coty (Sarah) Newman and Kayla Newman; 3 sisters and 1 brother; two grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Alice
