Ernest Joseph Cooper's Obituary
Ernest Joseph Cooper, age 89, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2023.
He was born on November 4, 1933, in Jackson, Michigan to Ethel (Gordon) Basil. Ernest married the love of his life, Marybeth Gulliford, on November 30, 1962, in Jackson, Michigan. He will be remembered as one of the most kind, generous souls to live and would always go out of his way to help someone out. Ernest was a proud veteran of the Navy where he learned to enjoy cooking. In addition to cooking, he was quite the food and coffee connoisseur. Ernest also was an avid golfer and a huge animal lover. In his later years, he really enjoyed his cats, especially Piggy.
Ernest will be missed by his daughter, Sara Cooper; and cousins Kathleen Britten, Mary Britten, and Serinda (Jim) Foster and family. Ernest will also be missed by numerous more cousins. Ernest is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marybeth, his brother, Howard Kalmbach and his mother, Ethel.
