Esther Marie Nall's Obituary
Of Jackson, formerly of Ackerson Lake, passed away May 11, 2021 at Senior Moments Assisted Living at the age of 99. Esther was born May 3, 1922 in Branch County, Michigan and was raised as a child in the Jackson and Vandercook Lake area. She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Laurel (Gene) Nall; her son, Robert (Bob) Nall and grandson, Timothy J. Yost; as well as her parents, Willard and Lydia Jonas and her seven siblings, Jack, Charles (Lyle), Howard, Russell, Don, Helen Hoffman and Ellen Burritt. Esther is survived by her children, Judy Hodgson, Ron (Teresa) Nall, Sheri Lucas, Doug (Sandy) Nall and Brenda (Roy) Hatcher; daughter-in-law, Sally Nall and sister-in-law, Marge Jonas; along with numerous grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren. Esther enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom and in taking great pride, love and care of her children and her 4-legged companion, Stanley. One of the great memories that Esther and Gene gave of themselves were their wonderful summer parties they held each year, inviting all of their great musician friends, families and neighbors to enjoy a summer filled day full of good old (traditional) country music that would go well into the early morning hours (sorry neighbors.) Esther also spent many years at the Crouch Center with her friends enjoying country music. The family would like to send special thanks to Lena Faling at Senior Moments and her wonderful caring staff of Becca, Wendy, Lorretta, Hailey, Katy and Ky. A special thank you also goes out to Dr. Patricia Hoffman who provided our mom with great care over the years and to Careline Hospice who provided excellent comfort and care for our mom in her final days. Her loving spirit will forever live in the hearts of her family and the lives of those she touched. A memorial gathering and luncheon to share memories of Esther will be held at the Napoleon Lions Club, 7935 Napoleon Road, Jackson, MI 49201 on Sunday, June 27, 2021 from 1 to 3 pm. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a memorial contribution in Esther's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or The Alzheimer's Association.
