Evelyn Rose Koziol's Obituary
Age 86, of Michigan Center, passed away Monday November 2, 2020 at the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home. She is survived by her husband of 62 years; Frank John Koziol, two children; Michael John (wife Linda) Koziol and Kenneth Frank (wife Linda Kinney-Koziol) Koziol, grandchildren; Jeffrey (Emily) Kinney and Joshua Kinney, great-grandchildren; Stella and Luke Kinney and her sister; Joan Szlaba. She was preceded in death by her daughter; Carol Ann Schwartz, brother; Richard Sierminski and her parents; Frank and Ann (maiden-Walicki) Sierminski. Evelyn dedicated her life with compassionate care as a Registered Nurse. Her nursing career included Director of Surgical Nursing at Mercy Hospital in Jackson, a Director of Nursing at Faith Haven, a nurse at Dr. Hackett's office and in retirement volunteered with the American Red Cross on Blood Drives. In later years, she worked in the Delicatessen at Meijers. Evelyn was a long time member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church where a Private Mass was held in her honor. Interment was at St. Johns Cemetery. The family wants to express their deep gratitude to her neighbors, who through their care and attendance, helping with appointments and other tasks, allowed Evelyn to live at her home with the man she loved. Contributions in her memory are directed to the St. Joseph Mercy Nursing Scholarship Fund.
