Finis E. Hooper's Obituary
Hooper, Finis E. ""Red, Buddy"" Age 97, of Leoni Township, passed away June 28, 2013 at the Allegiance Hospice Home. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Antonia M. Hooper; two children, Dexter Alan Hooper and Lilia (Stephen King) Lonier; two grandchildren, Karl (Kim) Nash-Lonier and Amy Lynn (Scott Taylor) Hooper; three great-grandchildren, Kohlton Nash, Zackary and Madisen Taylor; special friends, Robert and Jackie Phelps. He was preceded in death by a grandson, D. Michael Nash and three sisters. Mr. Hooper was an Army Combat Veteran of World War II (Pacific Theater of Operations) earning 2 bronze battle stars. He retired from the Heat Treat Department of Clark Equipment. He enjoyed gardening, horses and was a patron of the Jackson Harness Raceway. Visitation will be held Monday, July 1, 2013 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Interment with full Military Honors will be held at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, Michigan on Tuesday at 2:30 pm.
