Flora Ann Liedel's Obituary
Flora Ann Liedel, 83, of Manchester, Michigan, passed away peacefully under the loving care of her family and Arbor Hospice, November 1, 2025. Flora’s family and friends will gather from 10:00a.m. – 11:00 a.m., Friday November 7, 2025 at Eineder Funeral Homes - Manchester Chapel. Her funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment of ashes will take place at a later date at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
She was born on July, 20, 1942, in Coffee Springs, Alabama to Jean Young and Lovie Elizabeth (Barberee) Brewer. Flora married the love of her life, Eugene Liedel, on February 9, 1963, in Arlington, Virginia. She will be remembered as loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother.
Flora was employed with the U.S government in Washington DC, where she met her husband Eugene and the V.A. hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Flora was very active member of the VFW Auxiliary 423 in Ann Arbor as a member and treasurer for many years. She loved to sew, quilt and embroider. Flora liked to have a house full of plants she cared for and to collect antiques. But most of all, her greatest joy was her grandchildren, especially spending time with them.
Flora will be missed by her children, Eugene Carl (Nancy) Liedel II, Regina (Jeff Mercier) Liedel and Cynthia (Ryan) Schoeneman; brother, Gibson (Patty) Brewer; grandchildren Eugene Carl III, Steven Zachary, Herne Ammon, Gerald Julian, Reese Michael and Logan Ann; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Eugene; grandson, Benjamin Liedel and her 8 siblings.
