Frances “Jean” Brown, 86, of Michigan Center, Michigan passed away peacefully at the Henry Ford Hospice Home, February 10, 2025
Jean was born on May 5, 1938, in Jackson, Michigan to L.D. Greenlee and Jeanette
(Weaver) Greenlee. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great, great grandmother. Jean owned and operated her salon “Jean’s Beauty Shop” for many years and also worked for the State of Michigan. She retired early and spent 30 plus years wintering in Florida and traveling with her lifelong partner, Ron Robe. Jean truly enjoyed being on the lake where she lived and going to the casinos. She also served her community in the Michigan Center Lion’s Club Lionesses.
Jean will be missed by her children, Susan Gonzales, Sandra Bitner and Ralph (Crystal) Brown; grandchildren Jason (Erica) Campbell, Danielle Manthei, Michelle Lake, Adrienne (Matthew) Rudd, Heather Porter, Courtney (Robert) Burgess, Brandy Knickerbocker and Matthew (Alyson) Brown; 15 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, L.D. and Jeanette Greenlee; lifelong partner Ronald Robe; daughter, Stacy Knickerbocker; grandchildren, Jimmy Bitner, Jessica Bitner and Brooke Knickerbocker; sister, Beverly Henry Greenlee.
