Frances Louise Friend's Obituary
Frances Louise Friend, 90, of Jackson passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 24, 2022 at Henry Ford Allegiance Jackson Hospital. A private family gathering was held.
She was born on June 26, 1932, in East Prairie, Missouri to David and Rosie (Farmer) Letgrate. Frances married the late Garnie Friend on April Fool’s Day. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Frances was a volunteer for many years at the hospital. Earlier in life she ran the elevator at the old Reynolds Building. She spoke of that job often, remembering all the different people she met. Frances was a good cook that kept to herself and devoted her life to her family. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Frances is survived by her loving children, Dennis (Gail) Ray, Renee Kidd and Robert (Lori) Alexander; two sisters, Peggy and Pauline; 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Debra Madden, and husbands, Ted Ray, Robert Alexander and Garnie Friend.
