I have known Frank ( or nicknamed in Cancun Pancho which is in Spanish the nickname for Francisco) and his wife Barbara for a decade; they were a nice and friendly couple who were guests in our condominium in Cancun. I knew him through a friend of ours who had passed away a couple of years. I have been always seeing them during the winter season and it was a great opportunity to talk and definitely hand out and as well learn from them from their life experiences. While they were in Cancun we have done sometimes group activities like beach dinners or went to restaurants with many other people who were like them escaping the old weather up north from the US or Canada. I have noticed Frank and Barbara in my second year in Cancun and they have seen me being there at first every day while they were vacationing until I graduated began my University studies outside of Cancun. By then I only saw them every end of December in Christmas and till the middle or end of January for the next years till my completion and till I returned to Cancun for an undetermined amount of time. I have learned a valuable lesson about Frank and Barbara and I definitely will not just miss a good friend but also a person who is an advisor or better mentioned advise giver that uses his personal experiences from life and can give anyone an idea on how to approach things better. It was sad that couple of years right after Thanksgiving that Frank and Barbara have decided to come the very last time to Cancun, not because of the pandemic we are currently facing for years, but simply their decision out of health concerns. I honestly felt a bit sad, but at the same time, I have told that I agree with their decision and I rather want them to be in good care where they planned the upcoming winter seasons and know that everything is in great standings. I had hoped to at least spend some time with them before their end reaches and then it was called: "It was that many great years we have spent in Cancun each winter, but now it is for us time to go a safer and reliable way. But definitely, no one is forgotten." Unfortunately, plans had to end very fast as Barb had a medical emergency and there was no time to lose anymore for them to delay their surgery; besides they wouldn't have been able to stay any longer since mid-March all the world and all of Cancun was getting into the quarantine and for them it would have meant to leave a month earlier anyways if both of them would have been just fine and healthy. Honestly, I would have even wondered, if Frank was still here alive today if they both would have come again to Cancun only for 2 weeks more or less, but definitely not months and see the fellow winter escapees since they've been great friends too. This was like one time my answer I had.My condolences to Barbara and all the Chinchak family as well his friends; please help Barbara especially out in the upcoming days, months, and years with anything; since I was thinking the other day that her life is different now after a great marriage of 54 years, which I considered to be the best one I have ever witnessed in my entire and learned a great deal by knowing Frank and Barbara.
