Frank John Koziol's Obituary
Frank John Koziol, 94, of Jackson, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2024. Frank’s family and friends will gather at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 7, 2024, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, with his Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Fr. Amal Rayapillai, SdC will serve as celebrant. Interment to immediately follow at St. John Catholic Cemetery.
He was born on January 29, 1930, in Jackson, Michigan to John Koziol and Henrietta (Fryr) Koziol. Frank married the love of his life, Evelyn Sierminski, on June 14, 1958, at St. Stanislaus Church in Jackson, Michigan. He will be remembered for his service in the Army Intelligence in Japan, and during the Korean War. Frank enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and was a hobby arborist. He loved photography, documenting much of his travels in the lower 48 states. Frank also enjoyed bowling and playing ping-pong.
Frank will be missed by; his children, Ken (Linda) Koziol and Mike (Linda) Koziol; grandchildren Jeff (Emily) Kinney and Joshua Kinney; and two great grandchildren; He is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Evelyn Koziol, his parents, John and Henrietta Koziol; two brothers, Stan and John; two sisters, Josephine and Mary; and daughter and son-in-law, Carol (Gary) Schwartz.
