Fred Lozowsky's Obituary
Our beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away at RidgeCrest Health Campus on Friday, March 6, 2020 at the age of 79. He was surrounded by his loving family and expertly attended by Elara Caring Hospice and the staff at RidgeCrest.
Fred was born on August 1, 1940 in Jackson, Michigan. He attended Jackson High School and Jackson Community College and served in the Army Corp of Engineers. He had rewarding 40 year career with Gilbert Commonwealth and Commonwealth Associates and was a member of the Our Lady of Fatima Parish. He is preceded in death by parents, Blanche and Solovan (Buzz) Lozowsky and brother, Michael Lozowsky. Fred is survived by wife Maryann; and three children, Jeff Lozowsky (partner Amber Ward) and his children Shawn, Sara and Nikolai; daughter Pamela (Mike) Dunn and their son Isaac Dunn; and daughter Jennifer (Kevin) Kelso and their children Lucas and Lindy Kelso.
A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm at Arthur-Day Funeral Home at 820 5th Street in Michigan Center on Thursday, March 12, 2020 and at church on Friday beginning at 10:00 am. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, March 13, 2020 at Our Lady of Fatima Parish, 913 Napoleon Road, Michigan Center, followed by graveside internment services at St. John's Cemetery in Jackson, MI. Military honors will be provided by the Jackson County American Legion Ritual Team. A luncheon to celebrate Fred's life will follow. Contributions in Fred's memory can be made in support of the Alzheimer's Association or Elara Caring Hospice.
