Frederick Arthur Bahlau's Obituary
Frederick Arthur Bahlau, Jr, 77, of Jerome, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, July 4, 2024. Rick’s family and friends will gather Tuesday July 9, 2024 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Eineder Funeral Homes – Brooklyn Chapel. His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. following visitation from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Interment at Woodland Cemetery after services.
He was born on January 2, 1947 in Jackson, Michigan to Fredrick and Dorathy (Hoyt) Bahlau. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, and a great friend, with a passion for the community. Rick is a graduate of Parkside High School, class of 1965. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War on the U.S.S Benington (CV-20). He spent many years with his own business at Electric Maintenance and Repair Co. as an electrician. Rick was a member of the Vietnam Veterans Motorcycle Club, Sauk Trail Long Rifle Muzzle Loaders and the Brooklyn American Legion Wilbur-Bartlett Post 315. He was a cowboy at the Stagecoach Stop and a co-owner of both the Stagecoach Stop and the Golden Nugget. Rick enjoyed antique collecting and attended many antique shows from all around. He was involved with the Irish Hills and Jackson communities.
Rick is survived by his loving companion of 44 years, Kathy Keeler; his sons, Troy (Amy) Bahlau, Todd (Rebecca) Bahlau, and Brian (Heather) Bahlau; brothers, Randy (Amy) Bahlau, and Daniel (Joanne) Bahlau; grandchildren, Jayden (Joshua) Davey, York and Cole Bahlau, Nicholas, Jacob and Abigail Bahlau, and Brody and Caleb Bahlau; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; and children, Frederick Bahlau III and Trinity Bahlau.
