Elenore was my mom's best friend, so we have known Fred since before the two married, when we were just kids. Fred was an amazing and wonderful man that could do pretty much anything. It seems like Fred and Elenore enjoyed life to the fullest, and I am so happy they found each other and had a long, happy life. When I turned 16 and was hoping to get a job through the co-op program at school, Fred asked me what I wanted to buy when I started working. I told him I was hoping to find some sort of dresser and shelves that would fit in my bedroom in the alcove area. He had me show him the area, take measurements, describe exactly what I wanted. I did, he sketched out what he envisioned, and he told me he would make it for me. I was so excited that I had a plan for my first paycheck. I don't remember for sure what it cost, but I seem to remember $60, and that piece of furniture is still in perfect condition and in use 50 years later. I think it will probably be around at least another 50 years. Fred always had a sweet sparkle in his eyes. Rest in peace, Fred!
