G. Thomas Phebus, Jr.'s Obituary
Age 73, of Jackson, passed away at his home on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 under the loving care of his family and the staff of Elara Caring Hospice. Tom is survived by his wife of nearly 26 years, Maria; five children; 10 grandchildren; siblings, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, George T. and Clara Phebus and one sister. Tom was a proud member of the U.S. Army's 173rd Airborne, serving in Vietnam. He worked at Alro Steel for 35 years. Tom (and Maria) enjoyed traveling around the state and country on his Harley-Davidson. He was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church, 142 Sycamore Street, Jackson, MI 49202 where a memorial service to honor his life will be held on Friday, June 4, 2021 at 11:00 am with Pastor Terry Boyd officiating. Encryptment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park with military honors provided by the Jackson County American Legion Ritual Team.
