Gail T. Beckman's Obituary
Gail T. Beckman, 85, of Westland, Michigan, formally of Napoleon, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Ashford Court Senior Living, Westland Michigan on July 15, 2026. Gail’s family and friends will gather at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 25, 2026 for a graveside service at Napoleon Oak Grove cemetery with Pastor Mark Murphy serving as celebrant.
Gail was born on January 19, 1941, in Detroit, Michigan, to Donald and Betty (Theiss) Rodgers. She attended school in the Detroit area and graduated from Wayne Memorial High School. Gail married the love of her life, Robert Beckman, and spent many happy years together until his passing in 2004. Gail was an avid reader, she loved to travel, especially to some of her favorite destinations, including Colorado and Sedona, California. Gail like to care for her flowers and spend time gardening and shopping. She was an active member of the Jackson Free Methodist church community while living in the Jackson area. But most of all her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Gail will be missed by her children, Lori (John) Dahn, Christine (John) Miata, Elizabeth (Glenn) Magee, Amy (Chris) O’Hara; siblings, June (Mike) Metro, Gene (Mary) Reed; grandchildren, Jenna (Mike), Megan, Shawn, Sydney (Garrett), Mason, Connor, Erin; great grandchildren, Madelyn and Zoey. She is preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Betty, her husband, Robert and her brother Guy.
